Hi! I’m a woodworker who enjoys collecting and using vintage hand tools. I’ve always appreciated the history behind these old tools, the craftsmanship that went into making them, and how well they still work today. There’s something special about giving a good old tool another life in the workshop.
Antique S.J. Addis No. 45 V-parting carving tool, likely dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s based on the cross hammers mark. Addis was a renowned English edge-tool maker whose quality carving tools were later produced by Ward & Payne of Sheffield. Features a V-shaped cutting profile for fine lines, decorative grooves, and detailed carving. Retains its original-style hardwood handle, decorative brass ferrule, and maker's stamp.
