Retired Archaeologist now working for city of Lexington Engineering Dept. Have done carpenter and woodworking for a long time, just switched over to hand tools several years ago. But now my health has changed, I have no kids and if Gods will, I will be retiring and moving to Philippines in 2028. So I am slowly selling off tools (and other things) that I know I will not be hauling across the world.
Dunlap Block Plane, made by Sargent for Sears. The 619 stamp ID was started in early 1940's, the screw for the knob started in 1944 and ran till Dunlap was discontinued in the mid 1950's
I was holding onto this one, but I have another one that is older that I am keeping for now. This would make a great user tool after a tune up. There are scratches on the mouth, not cracks, not sure why or how, but will not affect the preformance.
I used to buy large lots/collections of tools, take out what I wanted and sell what I did not need/want. I need to clear out a bunch of tools due to as soon as I get my health straightened out we may be retiring and moving to the Philippines by 2028. If my health don't straighten out, then well I need to get rid of stuff anyway..
Buy my stuff!
