This is a nice, wedged woodworking mallet made by a local woodworker in Central Illinois in 2026. He stamped the date he made it on one side, 6-16-26. I am not sure of the species of wood, but it is a nice hardwood suitable for woodworking with a wedged handle shaped for light or heavy use. It is 12" long and weighs 23.5 ounces. He may have used it lightly once or twice but there are no signs of use - only some marks left by the lathe chuck it was turned on.
