Retired Archaeologist now working for city of Lexington Engineering Dept. Have done carpenter and woodworking for a long time, just switched over to hand tools several years ago. But now my health has changed, I have no kids and if Gods will, I will be retiring and moving to Philippines in 2028. So I am slowly selling off tools (and other things) that I know I will not be hauling across the world.
Belknap Bluegrass Block Plane. I think this was made by Sargent for Bluegrass due to he 619-3700 stamped into the body, just as the planes Sargent made for Sears (Craftsman).
The only reason I have held onto this is that Belknap was in Louisville Ky and I am in Lexington.
Make a good user plane after a tune up and add to your tool kit.
I used to buy large lots/collections of tools, take out what I wanted and sell what I did not need/want. I need to clear out a bunch of tools due to as soon as I get my health straightened out we may be retiring and moving to the Philippines by 2028. If my health don't straighten out, then well I need to get rid of stuff anyway..
