The Bad Axe 14" Half-Back Saw combines the control of a backsaw with the deeper cutting capacity of a traditional handsaw. Its shortened back provides rigidity and tracking near the handle while leaving the rest of the 14" plate open for deeper cuts.
With a .025" plate and 12 PPI toothline, this saw offers a confident, controlled cut for trimming tenons, cutting joinery, and general bench work. Inspired by half-back saws from the late 1800s, it brings a less common historic design back to the modern workshop.
