A Good antique Stanley No. 3 round head hickory mallet, circa 1898-1929. This is the largest of the round head mallets Stanley offered during this time, weighing 2 pounds 4 ounces. 12-13" long with a 6"x4" head. There is some wear, as well as some chipping on the head from use, and some checking. The handle is nice and tight, and is designed to be removed while not coming off during use due to a tapered mortice.
