Vintage DUNLAP 10" Ratcheting Hand Auger Bit Brace Drill

Beautiful vintage Dunlap 10-inch ratcheting bit brace, made in USA. A fine example of traditional American woodworking craftsmanship. Stamped “Dunlap 10 MADE IN USA”. Circa 1940s. The Dunlap name was introduced by Sears, Roebuck & Co. in 1937. In excellent mechanical working condition with attractive vintage cosmetic appearance. Shows normal signs of age and previous use. The head and handle material is hardwood. The 10-inch measurement refers to the sweep size (the diameter of the crank's rotation). Overall length is 14”, and weighs 1 lb 14 oz.
