Corsair #4 size

$55.00

Details

**(Great Neck Corsair, though it isn't clear if it was before or after they bought the Buck Brothers name.) This particular plane has a good blade and performs very well. I can recommend it without reserve.

**I restored this plane for woodworkers, not collectors. I cleaned, de-rusted, painted with Rust Oleum premium enamel paint. The iron was sharpened, the chip breaker tuned to fit tightly and the frog was carefully installed for best fit/performance. The plane was then tested on a 2 X 4. It worked better than expected, smoothing out this particularly difficult piece of pine right out.

**This is a user restoration, not a historically exact museum tool. When possible and when needed, the finish has been carefully color matched to the original style intended for years of workshop use. We function test before sending out. (Please be careful unboxing as the blades are always sharpened.) Our goal is to preserve the character of vintage tools while returning them to the workbench creating woodworker glitter as intended. If you have any questions about the restoration please message and we will be happy to talk.

**Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description. We make every effort to accurately describe any flaws, wear, repairs, missing components, and upgrades. We encourage buyers to review the photos and descriptions before purchasing.

** I hope the person who buys it enjoys it as much as I enjoyed restoring it. I'm also attempting to make the plane reasonably priced to be a better value than new planes, per Mr. Kruger's commentary.

**Note: This is a used product and is sold as-is, no returns. So please look carefully at all the pictures as well as reading the description. Best Regards, DaveInGA

    Selling since June 2026

Retired Telephone Engineer, Respiratory Therapist. Over 65, own a business selling sod turf grass. Hobby woodworker and home remodeler. Began restoring and selling planes on Ebay, but don't care much for how Ebay treats the sellers. I watch Rex's videos quite often and decided to see if I couldn't provide a restored, sharpened, working plane for a reasonable price on Tool Trader instead. Regards, Dave
